Anti-Albumin (bovine, BSA)
Mouse monoclonal antibody
Cat.No. HYB 267-01
Preparation: Protein-A purified
Content: Available in 200 µL and 1 mL volumes, 1 mg/mL
Solvent: 0.01 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, containing 0.5 M NaCl and 15mM sodium azide Storage: In the dark at 4-8ºC
Bovine serum albumin (BSA) is the most abundant protein in bovine plasma. BSA is produced in the liver, has a molecular mass of 66.4 kDa and its concentration in bovine plasma or serum is 35-50 g/L.
BSA purified from bovine plasma and adsorbed to aluminum hydroxide gel.
HYB 267-01 reacts strongly with BSA, cross-reacts about 25% with human serum albumin but shows no cross-reaction with rabbit serum albumin. Its cross-reactivity with albumins from other species has not been tested.
Not determined
Strong reaction is seen in ELISA with BSA coated directly onto the microtiter well and in Western blotting after SDS-PAGE.

The dilution guideline for ELISA is based on use as detection antibody for antigen coated at 8 µg/mL. Users should determine the optimal dilutions for their own purposes.
