New GLP-1 antibodies: Anti-GLP-1(9-37) and GLP-1(9-36)amide (free N-terminus-specific)
The two new antibodies ABS 044-49 and ABS 044-53 recognize the N-terminus of the products of GLP-1 degradation by dipeptidyl peptidase-4, GLP-1(9-36)amide and GLP-1(9-37).
They show a low level of cross-reactivity with the active forms (7-36/37) of GLP-1. Coated ABS 044-49 binds to the N-terminus of GLP-1(9-36)amide in a different manner from ABS 044-53, permitting some concomitant C-terminal binding of HYB 147-06B as a biotinylated detection antibody.
Human NGAL ELISA kit for IVD
NGAL is a small protein found not only in neutrophils but also in certain epithelia, such as renal tubules, where its expression is dramatically increased in ischemic or nephrotoxic injury. NGAL levels rise in urine and blood within 2 hours of renal injury.
Studies by BioPorto Diagnostics have shown that urinary levels above a cutoff of 350 ng/mL or plasma levels above 400 ng/mL are associated with acute kidney inkury with an 90% positive predictive value. This makes NGAL the earliest, most sensitive and non-invasive biomarker for acute kidney injury available.
Up to 50% of patients in intensive care may suffer some degree of acute kidney injury. The onset of acute renal failure on top of other critical illness increases mortality dramatically.
Human IgE (non-immune)
This antigen is an affinity purified, fully human IgE antibody, produced in vitro from a monoclonal hybridoma. The monoclonal source of IgE ensures high reproducibility and is free from other immunoglobulins. The very low batch-to-batch variation makes this antibody well suited as a standard in IgE quantifying assays. Other applications include immunochemistry and cellular immunology research.
A new addition to our NGAL portfolio: Anti-NGAL (mouse) antibody pair
The new monoclonal antibodies ABS 043-10 and ABS 043-29 can be used to detect mouse NGAL and have the ability to form an ELISA sandwich pair with ABS 043-10 as the capture antibody and biotinylated ABS 043-29 (ABS 043-29B) as the detection antibody.
Rat NGAL ELISA Kit launched
The rat NGAL test can be used to detect nephrotoxic side effects of new drugs, and for basic science research on kidney injury and kidney diseases.
It is expected that NGAL as a toxicological marker of kidney damage in rats could be of considerable importance in the preclinical evaluation of new pharmacological products, as it is much cheaper and easier to determine NGAL than to carry out a microscopic examination of the kidney itself.
