Preparation: Protein-A/G purified
Content: Available in 200 µL and 1 mL
Concentration: 1 mg/mL
Solvent: 0.01 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, with 0.5 M NaCl and 15mM sodium azide
Storage: In the dark at 4-8ºC
Collectin-43 is a serum protein produced by the liver and a member of the collectin family. Collectins bind to microbial surface carbohydrates in a calcium-dependent way and thereby impeding infectivity or mediating phagocytosis through specific receptors on the phagocytes. Collectin-43 has so far only been found in Bovidae. It was given its name from its reduced mass of 43 kDa.
Native CL-43 purified from bovine serum (4)
HYB 260-01 is specific for bovine CL-43. No cross-reaction is seen with conglutinin in Western blotting.
Not determined
In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE HYB 260-01 reacts strongly with non-reduced CL-43 and weaker with reduced CL-43.
