EPO maintains October 1, 2009, as the date of resumption of patent grant proceedings
In continuation of announcement no. 18 of August 4, 2009, it is hereby announced that the European Patent Office (EPO) has decided to maintain October 1, 2009, as the date on which it will resume grant proceedings for BioPorto’s NGAL cutoff patent in Europe, EP 1 831 699.
EPO has informed CCH that the objections filed on July 16, 2009, have not given reason for EPO to change its decision. The document that contains the justification for this decision is expected to be published on EPO’s home page on Monday, August 17.
EPO’s decision is subject to appeal.
