Anti-GLP-1(1-36)amide (N-terminal-extension specific)

Cat.No. HYB 011-05

Cat. No.
HYB 011-05
Product name
Anti-GLP-1(1-36)amide (N-terminal-extension specific)
Description

Mouse monoclonal antibody

Specificity

HYB 011-05 is specific for the N-terminal region (residues 1-6) of the GLP-1. No cross-reactitvity with GLP-1 (7-36) amide or (7-37). HYB 011-05 reacts with the low activity enzyme GLP-1(1-36)amide, but not with either of the activated forms GLP-1(7-36)amide and GLP-1(7-37)amide.

Target

GLP-1 is a peptide hormone of the glucagon family, produced by the L cells of the intestinal mucosa from the same prohormone as glucagon. The active forms are potent stimulators of glucose-dependent insulin secretion. GLP-1 (1-36) amide is an incompletely prosessed precursor form showing relatively little bioactivity.

ELISA

HYB 011-05 can be used in ELISA  (1).
Application 2

WB

HYB 011-05 can be used in Western blotting.
